Chris started out in publishing, design and advertising in the UK, working for a number of companies in London including the Hearst Corporation and Associated Newspapers. This background gave him the opportunity to craft copy, as well as pursue design and art direction in contract publishing, advertising, catalogue and high-end brochure work for a number of clients including Nestle, Aspreys, Hugo Boss and Burberry’s.

In Los Angeles, he established his own design and brand development business, servicing clients such as the City of West Hollywood, A&M Records and Louis Stern Galleries before returning to the UK to work with a number of fashion, home and lifestyle brands, – consolidating his retail experience along the way.

Living permanently in Melbourne since 1999 Chris has worked on a variety of accounts in the auto, retail and property sectors. As creative director on the Lend Lease business at Ogilvy, he was involved in the creation of high end commercial and residential property brands in Melbourne and Sydney before moving on to the Myer account as a Creative Group Head, –  utilising his fashion and retail knowledge, working on all areas of the Myer business, through-the-line.

Since 2011, Chris May Creative has been providing art, copy and creative direction to well known brands, enhancing their profile and placing them right where they need to be.

 Creativity begins here.
